Fall has finally arrived in Wilmington! It’s time to pop on your favorite sweater, grab a pumpkin spice latte, and check out one of the fun events in Wilmington this season! Here are a few ideas on how to spend the chilly fall days.
Ghost Tour
Downtown Wilmington is rumored to be haunted, so why not find out for yourself with a ghost tour? Haunted Wilmington hosts ghost tours and a haunted pub crawl to get you in the spooky mood.
Pumpkin Patch
No fall season is complete with a trip to the pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 1401 S. College Road has been around since 1990. It’s a staple in the Wilmington community. The patch features pumpkins, treats, music, and a bean bag toss! It’s the perfect place to pick a pumpkin to paint or carve this season.
Fall Festivals
Fall and festivals are synonymous. And we’re in luck because there are a ton this year!
- The Voracious and Rare Beer Festival (October 28) is an excellent opportunity to try a variety of new flavors without ever leaving Wilmington.
- The Lighthouse Beer and Wine Festival (October 29) will continue the party and feature over 100 craft breweries and wines to explore.
- Cape Fear Kite Festival (November 5-6) on Kure Beach, guests will enjoy colorful displays of kites and an unforgettable overhead show!
- The Cucalorus Film Festival (November 16-20) is the biggest film festival in the Cape Fear region. It will display films, shorts, live entertainment, music, and more!
