Local Investor Acquires DaVita Dialysis-Leased Property in Hampstead, NC for $2.54 Million

Hampstead, NC – A medical office building occupied by national kidney care provider DaVita Dialysis has been sold for $2.54M to a local investor. The transaction closed on May 8, 2025.

Located at 22804 Hwy 17, the property includes a 7,917-square-foot medical building situated on 2.89 acres in a high-visibility corridor of Hampstead. DaVita, a leader in kidney care with over 3,113 outpatient dialysis centers worldwide—2,660 of which
are in the United States—has been a tenant at this location since 2015.

The seller, KY Young Investment Partners, LLC, is an out-of-state family-owned investment group. This marks a strategic acquisition for Mr. Rabinowitz, whose real estate portfolio continues to grow across Southeastern North Carolina.

“Medical real estate assets anchored by national providers like DaVita remain highly desirable, especially in growing communities like Hampstead,” said Ginny Dunn with Maus, Warwick, Matthews, and Co.

DaVita currently holds approximately 37% of the U.S. dialysis market share, and its Hampstead facility plays a vital role in serving the kidney care needs of Pender County and surrounding areas.

The sale underscores continued investor interest in mission-critical healthcare real estate, particularly properties backed by established tenants with long-term operating histories.
