Jack’s sincere love of real estate and the wealth-building opportunities it provides has made him a valuable member of the Maus, Warwick, Matthews & Co. team since his addition to the firm in 1995. After a rigorous course study and qualifying transactional experience, Jack received his CCIM designation, recognizing him as an expert in the commercial real estate industry. He is also a past president of the Realtor’s Commercial Alliance of Southeast NC.
Jack prides himself on the relationships he has built with his clients, many of which have spanned over 20 years. His understanding that “time kills all deals” helps him maintain a sense of urgency in all of his professional transactions.
His areas of specialization include retail, multi-family, site selection, single-tenant leasing, institutional special assets and OREO Disposition, 1031 exchanges, and general commercial brokerage. He personally owns and manages multiple investment properties, which gives him the ability to visualize transactions from initial discussions to through to closing.
Prior to starting his commercial real estate career, Jack managed a specialty outdoor and boating retail store for seven years. He oversaw all aspects of retail sales and personnel and developed a since of professionalism that puts relationships at the forefront of all business transactions.
Jack graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and International Business. He and his wife Lori have two children, Katy and Charlie. He is an active member of Wrightsville Beach United Methodist Church. He is a co-founder of Masonboro.org, a non-profit organization founded in 2009 concerned with protecting public access and promoting stewardship of Masonboro Island. He is an avid outdoorsman who is passionate about hunting, fishing, and snow skiing.
